Dabpress 12-Ton Hydraulic Hand Pump (dp-cp590g): Setup, Bleeding, and PSI Guide
Optimize your rosin extraction with the Dabpress dp-cp590g. This guide provides technical specifications, setup procedures, and critical pressure formulas for maximum efficiency.
01. Technical Specifications
•Capacity: 12 Ton Heavy Duty
•Max Pressure: 9500 PSI (63Mpa)
•Coupler: NPT 1/4" Male Included
•Hose Length: 330mm / 13" High-Pressure Hose
•Gross Weight: 8.2kg / 18Lbs
Compatibility Note: This hydraulic pump is compatible with Dabpress 10 & 12-ton rosin presses. For 20-ton press models, an NPT 3/8" adapter is required.
02. Setup & Bleeding the Hydraulic System
Properly bleeding air from your pump prevents a "spongy" handle and ensures smooth operation:
1.Positioning: Place the pump on a stable surface with the hose hanging lower than the pump body.
2.Air Bleed: Open the Release Valve (front right) one full turn and wait for 5 minutes.
3.Seal Valve: Tighten the release valve clockwise until firmly closed.
4.Ventilation: Open the Vent Plug (rear) for 30 seconds to release internal pressure, then tighten.
5.Connect: Attach the 1/4" NPT coupler to your cylinder and hand-tighten securely.
03. Rosin Press Pressure (PSI) Calculations
Calculate the Actual PSI on your material using these specific formulas:
For 10-Ton Press (dp-hr10t35):
(Gauge PSI × 2.25) ÷ Surface Area (sq/in) = PSI on Material
For 12-Ton Press (dp-hr12t47):
(Gauge PSI × 2.75) ÷ Surface Area (sq/in) = PSI on Material
Optimal Pressure Ranges:
• Flower: 800 - 1200 Material PSI
• Hash / Sift: 400 - 600 Material PSI
04. Maintenance & FAQ
•Gauge Air Bubble: The gauge contains glycerine to protect the needle. An air bubble is necessary and does not affect accuracy.
•Pressure Maintenance: It is normal for pressure to drop slightly as oil flows. Pump slowly to maintain your target PSI.
•Hydraulic Oil: Use only anti-foaming hydraulic jack oil. Do not use brake fluid or motor oil.
Safety Warning: Always wear eye protection during hydraulic operation.
