Precision Prep: dp-pm30s & dp-pm3015r 30mm Cylinder Molds
The Dabpress 30mm cylinder series is designed to compress botanical materials into high-density pucks. Proper pre-pressing eliminates air pockets, ensures even heat distribution, and prevents filter bag blowouts.
01. Model Specifications & Differences
•dp-pm30s (Stainless Steel): A heavy-duty 3-piece design. Built for both flower and fine material. Max Load: 7g.
•dp-pm3015r (Handheld Aluminum): Lightweight, ergonomic handheld design. Optimized specifically for flower only. Max Load: 7g.
•Platen Pairing: Both molds create pucks ideally suited for 3x3" or 3x5" heated platens.
•Filter Pairing: Best paired with 2x4" or 2x4.5" rosin filter bags.
02. Standard Operating Procedure (Puck Creation)
1.Humidity Check: Confirm your material is at 62% RH. Break down flowers into smaller 0.25-0.5g pieces.
2.Base Assembly: Place the mold base on a stable surface. Line the base with a small parchment square to prevent sticking.
3.Loading: Slide the cylinder sleeve over the base and fill evenly with your prepared material.
4.Compression: Insert the plunger. Apply firm downward pressure using your palm (or a hand clamp vise for the dp-pm30s).
5.Ejection: Remove the base, invert the sleeve, and eject the puck using the plunger. Load immediately into your filter bag.
Expert Insight: For the best results, use the "Bottle-Tech" method. After loading the puck into the filter, fold the bottom corners inward to create a vertical cylinder that maximizes pressure and oil flow.
03. Cleaning & Care
•Cleaning: Use high-percentage Isopropyl Alcohol to wipe down components after use.
•Safety: Avoid using heavy impact tools (like hammers) on the plunger, as this may deform the precision-fit aluminum or stainless steel parts.
Safety Warning: Use nitrile gloves when handling flower to prevent oils from sticking to your hands and to maintain material purity.
